Medical CBD For Treating Diseases

Marijuana is illegal in many states of the US, and possession of marijuana is a crime that is punishable be law. However, studies have claimed that some substances in marijuana have medicinal use, especially in terminal diseases such as cancer and AIDS. However the debate still continues on whether medical marijuana should be used or not. While there are reasons why it should be legalized, others have stayed in the opposite camp.

Below are some of the reasons why medical marijuana should be legalized.

Marijuana is a natural substance that can be found in herbs. These herbs have been used in certain countries as an herbal medicine for many centuries now. Since it is found in nature, then it is safer and most appealing for consumers than synthetic drugs.

There therapeutic potential for medical CannabisMD is very strong. CBD can be used as an analgesic for treating pain, and this has already been proven by research. It is also effective in treating chronic pain experienced by cancer patients. Its antiemetic properties are very effective in treating nausea and vomiting which are also side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. There are researchers that are convinced of the therapeutic potential of cbd against neurological disease such as multiple sclerosis. It is also shown to have antipsychotic, anticancer, and antioxidant properties. They can prevent high intraocular pressure which is a major risk factor for glaucoma.

The use of medical cbd burns has been supported by many medical professional societies and organizations. These organizations have supported research into the therapeutic role of marijuana and they also advocate for the exemption from federal criminal prosecution physicians who prescribe medical marijuana in accordance with state law, and they support protection from criminal or civil penalties patients who use medical marijuana.

There are many countries that are already using medical marijuana legally. If these countries are able to do it, then this implies than any country can. There are many countries that have already legalized the therapeutic use of marijuana under strict prescription control. Today, there are already states in the US that are allowing its use.

There are however arguments against its use including its potential for abuse. This is because marijuana is addictive. We cannot deny the potential for abuse associated with marijuana.  Another argument against its use is the lack of a safe delivery system. The common form of marijuana delivery is through smoking. This form of delivery is not acceptable. Also, medical marijuana is only alleviating symptoms but not actually curing the disease. Even though there are effects, it is only the symptoms of the disease that are addressed but it does not cure the illness.
